So much to enjoy in Büsum and Dithmarschen.

There is always something going on here. For if you just want to feel your face in the wind, or for spending entire holidays. One experience, for example: the Wadden Sea at Büsum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the summer, many visitors are attracted to the open air concerts and our harbour is simply picturesque! How about a trip to the seal colonies or a kitesurfing session? A stroll along the waterfront in the winter is also delightful. We believe that this part of the world is something very special.

The family lagoon is a mere stone’s throw away. Since 2013 it has been a place where everyone who loves the sea comes together, with its bathing complex and dune landscape, promenade and pier. Sunbathers, sandcastle builders, beach football players, people who come to see the mudflats – and now, guests of the Küstenperle too. A walk along the dyke promenade takes you into Büsum town centre and the harbour. From there, you can also get to Heligoland. Oh, there is so much more to discover in Büsum, Dithmarschen and the surrounding areas.

What is there to do?

Do you want to put your feet up? Then Büsum is the right place for you. Those who prefer being active can try kitesurfing, mudflat hiking, swimming in the sea or in the leisure pool, or visit the new science museum Phänomania. You can also experience Dithmarschen traditions such as Boßeln (street bowling) or the Cutter Regatta. Equally fascinating are events such as the Kite Festival, the Büsum marine phosphorescence and concerts held by famous performers. There is always a reason, usually many, to come here.
